What is Pilates?
Pilates was developed in 1920 by Joseph Pilates. It is an overall approach to exercise that utilizes core strength and flexibility, which improves posture and brings symmetry to the musculature.
Are the workouts the same each session?
Workouts are tailored to fit your individual needs. I work with the individual or group to determine the best course of action each session. I switch it up each time to keep it fun for everyone.
Where are you located?
I’m located in Tucson, AZ but thanks to online classes I can get to your living room from anywhere in the world. You just need a phone or a laptop!
What can I expect at my session?
Each visit is 55 minutes long. On the first visit, we will go over the basic principles of Pilates and get acquainted with the different pieces of equipment. A workout will not necessarily leave you feeling sore like lifting weights might, but you will feel as though you have done some work. Each session will build on the last. You will feel wonderful afterwards!
What do I wear?
Regular workout clothes that you are comfortable moving in are best. No shoes necessary.
